Word of the week (10)

‘I’m writing a variation on the classic love triangle plot,’ said the romantic novelist. ‘It’s about a girl who can’t decide which of three young men she loves the most. I’m calling it a rhomboid. Get it? Rom boyed?  Like a rom com only with more boys.’

(Yes, I'm cringing too. Sorry, I’m hoping normal service will be resumed when the snow’s gone! See my previous WOW)

Right, yes well.
Blaming the snow is possibly just a tad simple? Not simple-minded, mind, just simple.

As for the previous post: you didn’t mention the title. That’s not fair. Others might feel tempted to read the book. On the other hand, if a book bores me I ‘m good at dropping it.

No, I'm not going to identify the boring book, Friko, I wouldn't want to put other people off trying it. It was by a well-known writer and published by one of the big publishers so I'm sure it had some merit - but it just didn't grab my attention.
